ANJUM MALIK is scriptwriter, poet, performer and a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she teaches script writing, poetry and occasionally performs her poetry and monologues.
Anjum recently adapted Anthony Burgess’ stage play ‘Napoleon Rising’ for BBC Radio 3 Drama for the bi centenary Napoleonic anniversary. Her TV Credits include film ‘Escape To Somerset’, ‘Doctors’ and ‘Coronation Street’. She has written several radio plays and the series ‘The Interpreter’. She regularly performs her poetry and monologues.
Her first poetry collection ‘Before The Rains’ was published by Huddersfield University. She has also been published by Redbeck Press in ‘Spirit Of Bradford’, Crocus Press in ‘Peace Poems’ and Suitcase Press in ‘Hair’ and ‘The Suitcase Book Of Love Poems’.
She has taken part in numerous writers’ residencies from being Poet in Residence at the Lowry for the Commonwealth Games, being part of the Cheltenham Literature Festival to being a Writer In Residence at Strangeways Prison, Manchester.

LEMN SISSAY MBE is the author of several books of poetry alongside articles, records, public art and plays.
He was an official poet for the London Olympics. His Landmark Poems are installed throughout Manchester and London, in venues such as The Royal Festival Hall and The Olympic Park. Sissay is associate artist at Southbank Centre, patron of The Letterbox Club and The Reader Organisation, and inaugural trustee of World Book Night.
